Fruit Infused Water

                                                                                                    Week 22 (Save $22)




Summer just rolled in this week and caught us all off guard.  I found myself dehydrated from the unexpected high temperatures .  I really needed to drink more fluids and avoid caffeine and alcohol.
I came across some very simple Fruit Infused Water recipes which can be made a head of time and stored in the fridge when you need to quench that thirst.

1 sliced cucumber
1 sliced lemon
2 sliced limes
1-2 sliced oranges
bunch of mint

Divide the ingredients among 4- 24oz  water bottles (or mason jars).  Add filter water and let the ingredients infuse for 2-8 hours, depending on how strong you want the flavors.
 
Optional: add ice just before serving




Experiment with different fruits and herbs combinations for new delicious flavors. 
Here are some ideas and the combinations are endless:

apple + cinnamon stick
watermelon + peach
kiwi + lime
strawberry + blueberry
raspberry + lime
lemon + ginger
cantaloupe + honeydew
blackberry + lime
mango + orange
pineapple + mint
