spring blooms

                                                                      Week 17 ( Save $17 )

Ah, I think Spring has finally Sprung! One of the very first signs of Spring are the early blooms of colorful flowers. Different flowers blooms depending on where you live: Tulips, daffodils, crocus, etc.

If you are fortunate to have a garden with these early colors, why not clip a bunch of these lovelies and bring some spring into your house.

Here is a super easy DIY center piece which takes no time to create with in minutes.

Take a round vase bowl and place a handful of store bought stones.

Add cold water to cover your stones.

Clip 3 daffodils about three inches long (long enough that the stems are able to sit below the water line).

Place your flowers into the vase.

Tada!
Now how easy was that! the possibilities are endless

If you do not have a garden, visit your local flower gardens and bring some spring into your house. The spring blooms do not last very long so enjoy them while they last.

Knit one, improve's you

                                                       Week 13 ( Save $13 )

There are lots of hobbies that seem to be something of the past…like knitting and crocheting . When we think of knitting, we have this image of our grandmother’s knitting away .

The fact is, knitting and crocheting are on a comeback. With so many yarn and knit café popping up everywhere is there a great demand for knit goods?

Did you know that knitting and crocheting can improve your mind body and mood?
Knitting not only lowers your heart rate and blood pressure.  Knitting also has that same meditative state that yoga offers. It allows the mind to refocus and soothe worries.
When you knit, you are subconsciously sharpening your memory with counting rows, measuring, patterning, etc.  The more you use it, the more stronger your memory and focus becomes.

Studies have shown that older people who knit or crochet had a decrease chance of age-related cognitive impairment or memory lost. Knitter and crocheters had the healthiest brains and memories.

Nimble busy hands, reduces mindless eating.  Occupied hands, no time to scooping up snacks. It also keeps finger muscles and hands tones and may prevent arthritis.

Relieves chronic pain, keep the mind and memory sharp, boosts confidence, pride and self esteem,  sense of accomplishment, therapeutic benefits and at the end of the knitting project... It’s unique and made by you!
Maybe that is why so many people of all ages are learning to knit and crochet. How about you?
