Made in Canada

                                                                               Week 19 (Save $19)

We have every reason to love this great country.  We can see the patriot red and white colors whether it worn amongst us or whether it be our flag flying everywhere. We should also be especially proud of the products we manufacture here.

Buying Canadian products impacts our economy in so many positive ways.  We are securing jobs and helping to create new ones.  When Canadian businesses are successful, they are in a position to giving back to the community whether it be supporting charities, community events, etc.  The money stays here, in Canada.

Reducing carbon footprints is something consumers do not think about.  People do not think about the amount of time, money or resources it takes to get the product.  The less the distance the product travels, the less natural resources are used.

Online shopping has become the norm for many consumers.  95% of the time it is more cost effective for you to buy within Canada.   By buying Canadian you’re pretty much guaranteed that the product you are purchasing is warehoused in Canada. A smart consumer  can see the value in bypassing the extra costs, time involved with shipping products into Canada.

With the horrific garment factory collapsing in India, a lot of us became more aware about the health and safety of foreign workers that make products.  With so many terrible stories of poor labor conditions, we as consumers should be ashamed for our consumerism demanding appetite for "cheap over-sea products", even at the risk of other human lives. Remember when you buy Canadian, You can be sure the products are made by adult laborers in safe working conditions.

So before you make a purchase the next time, do consider Canadian products over foreign made ones first.  Buy Canadian makes perfect sense!
